Elm Parish Council

 Elm is one of the largest parishes in Fenland District, covering 6,000 hectares of rich agricultural land.

The parish is made up of the villages of Elm and Fridaybridge and the smaller settlements of Coldham, Rings End and Colletts Bridge, which together with a number of scattered and isolated properties has a total population of around 4,000.

The villages and settlements within the parish have easy access to the Fenland market towns of March to the south and Wisbech to the north. Peterborough and King’s Lynn are both around 30 minutes away.

Elm Parish Council meets on a monthly basis; usually on a Wednesday, at 6.30pm in the Parish Council’s office at Begdale Road, Elm.

Agendas for Parish Council meetings, which include an Open Forum of 15 minutes duration, are published on the Parish Council’s notice boards in each of the villages/settlements: the locations of the notice boards are: the Pocket Park and outside the village store opposite the Cemetery in Elm; adjacent to the Clocktower at Fridaybridge; the “bus shelter” layby at Coldham; the bus shelter on March Road at Rings End.

In addition to monthly meetings, the Parish Council holds an Annual Assembly, in May each year, to which members of the public are invited to engage with the Parish Council and raise any issues of community concern.
