20MPH SPEED LIMIT SURVEY

20MPH SPEED LIMIT SURVEY

The County Council has created a funding programme to install 20mph speed limit zones across Cambridgeshire. It is hoped that the new 20mph restrictions will;
1. Make streets and roads safer for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists,
2. Encourage residents to walk and/or cycle,
3. Reduce noise and pollution.

Elm Parish Council is making an application for the implementation of 20mph zones and would welcome parishioners' views on which roads should be included. Suitable areas would include;
1. Roads with evidence of traffic incidents or potential hazards,
2. Presence of vulnerable road users,
3. Presence of shops/businesses,
4. School site/school route,
5. Area which would benefit from more active travel e.g. walking/cycling.

THE FOLLOWING SURVEY SHOULD TAKE NO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES TO COMPLETE;

1. Do you support the principle of 20mph speed limits to be implemented for select roads in Elm, Friday Bridge and Coldham?
2. If you are in favour of the 20mph speed limit zones, what benefits do you believe they would provide? (Tick all that apply).
3. Please confirm which of the following roads in Elm you feel would benefit from the reduced speed limit (Tick all that apply);
4. Please confirm which of the following roads in Friday Bridge you feel would benefit from the reduced speed limit (Tick all that apply);
